Now onto the newer minn kota fortrex. The foot pedal is also awesome, has all of the functions of the ipilot remote, including anchor, bearing heading and constant. I have the terrova and i love the lift assist, it is so much easier to deploy/stow than the powerdrive. I am sure the powerdrive v2 vs. I have the terrova and i love the lift assist, it is so much easier to deploy/stow than the powerdrive. Powerdrive so i have been reading the posting here for a bit and it seems to me that difference between the powerdrive and terrova is about 10 lbs thrust, and the addition of the foot peda, and the terrova completely shuts down when in the saddle. Powerdrive 24v is 70lbs whereas the terrova is 80. Power drive ipilot and foot pedal are mutually exclusive so far as i know. The only experience i have with a pdv2 is on a buddy's boat, it was very hard to deploy, had to come close to beating on it to get the release lever to work, stowing was ok but a bit difficult to get it to lock into place. The terrova has an assisted deploy system, its literally 10x better than the powerdrive. Don't get me wrong, the terrova is a great unit but only if you get it in the 24v version. I'm comparing the terrova and the powerdrive v2. Let's take a look at the cheaper product on our list first. I know this topic has been brought up before. With the powerdrive it is one or the other. Powerdrive has shorter shaft configurations.

The company offers 15 types of freshwater trolling motors and 8 types of saltwater trolling motors. Upgraded tech and a way better foot pad. Universal sonar, copilot, and autopilot are also options for this motor. I currently have a all terrain 36 lb thrust motor on there. The foot pedal is also awesome, has all of the functions of the ipilot remote, including anchor, bearing heading and constant. Pointing out the differences between the 2017 minn kota power drive and the terrova.
